Henry Copeland

Founder, Blogads.com

Seeing bloggers as the future of publishing, in March 2002 Henry Copeland founded Blogads.com, a network to connect bloggers and advertisers. Though the first blogad took a month to sell and cost just $32, now corporate behemoths and mom & mom T-shirt peddlers alike buy hundreds of blogads a day.

Copeland, 43, grew up in Wooster, Ohio and in 1984 received a BA in history from Yale University after nearly flunking econ and computer science. After selling bonds on Wall Street (’84-91) and reporting on post-Soviet economies (’91-‘98), Copeland founded Blogads.com's corporate parent in 1998.
