Anita Wilhelm

Wilhelm is also an interaction designer specializing in mobile platforms. Caterpillar Mobile is a new venture specializing in immersive play experiences with mobile media.

She is a graduate of the School of Information Management and Systems at University of California Berkeley. There, as part of Garage Cinema Research, her research focused on mobile media and acquiring semantically rich metadata at the point of capture on mobile devices. She studied interaction and usability issues centered around camera phones and their users, as well as issues involved with structuring and collecting meaningful metadata with camera phones. Her masters’ thesis focused on adding play as incentive for users to perform such activities.
