Antony Bruno
Senior Writer - Digital, Billboard Magazine
Antony joined Billboard Magazine in 2005 to cover the emerging field of digital entertainment, including music downloads, streaming, mobile content, P2P, videogames and interactive technologies. He oversees the magazine's Digital Entertainment page and writes digital-related news and features. Other duties include various planning and programming activities for Billboard conferences and events.
Antony has followed digital content and emerging technologies for more than eight years, with a specific emphasis on mobile media content and services. Before joining Billboard, he was Assistant Vice President of Wireless Internet Development at the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association in Washington D.C. In his four years there, Antony produced the educational programming and managed all speaker related activities for CTIA conferences. He also moderated and facilitated regular executive strategy meetings of wireless industry leaders developing the market for wireless content.
Previously, Antony spent four years as a Senior Writer with RCR Wireless News in Denver, where he spearheaded the trade newspaper's wireless Internet coverage. Prior to RCR, he was an editor at various community newspapers and was a Colorado-based freelance adventure travel journalist. Originally from Wisconsin, Antony moved West to pursue his passion in skiing, and enjoys hiking, camping and cooking. He holds a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism.
