Brian Gratch is a seasoned executive with over eighteen years experience in strategy, strategy execution, marketing, business development and sales. He has successfully helped companies in the areas of new business development, new product introduction, channel development and integration of new opportunities into existing business. Gratch has worked in a number of industries including: wireless/telecom, Internet, new media and digital entertainment, consumer electronics and automotive -- both to the enterprise and consumer markets. Sub-specialties in wireless include: gaming, digital media, youth market products/applications, location-based services and MVNO’s (mobile virtual operator networks). He has also testified as an expert witness in Washington D.C. on critical wireless issues and is a guest lecturer at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Recently, Gratch has been advising network operators in the areas of next generation (i.e. 3G/UMTS) network and service business opportunities. This includes wide-area cellular, Wi-Fi, WiMax, broadband convergence, etc.
Gratch regularly offers commentary on wireless issues for publications including Wired, Wireless Week, Billboard and Automotive News among others. He is frequently quoted by top-tier media such as Time, Bloomberg News, USA Today, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, CNBC, NBC and ABC.
Prior to his work at Gratch Associates, Brian Gratch was an executive with Motorola where he helped add over $500mm in annual revenue to the corporation. He had responsibilities of Global strategy and marketing for the business of launching location-based technology, Internet and Media solutions to consumer and commercial markets worldwide.
Gratch earned his AB degree at Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa, and his MBA at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
