Marti Galloway joined the St. Petersburg Times in 1991 and worked as a classified and retail advertising sales representative for eight years. In 1991 she joined the Times marketing team as promotions manager for North Pinellas and managed two of the company’s largest annual events, the Times Festival of Reading and the Times Turkey Trot (5K and 10K running event on Thanksgiving). In 2002 Ms. Galloway was promoted to community relations manager. In this position, she created events for advertisers, clients, staff and community organizations in the Times five-county distribution area. In 2004 when the Times launched tbt* a weekly alternative paper targeted at 25- 34-year-old professionals, Ms. Galloway joined the team to head Marketing and Promotions. She is a recent graduate of Leadership Pinellas and currently serves on several boards in the Tampa Bay community.
