Bob Wyman

Wyman is a visionary technologist whose work has repeatedly been the foundation for huge leaps in the consumer and business use of technology. Examples include DEC’s All-IN-1 which in the early 1980’s was the first customizable, integrated Office Automation suite and peaked at over $2 billion annual sales. Mr. Wyman also built the original DEC “NewNotes” project which was a predecessor to Lotus Notes and built the first WAN-based hypertext system. At Microsoft he was responsible for the project from which evolved Microsoft’s Component Object Model (COM).

More recently, Mr. Wyman has been responsible for bringing to market a wide range of products including the first broadly marketed CD-ROM based magazine, an Internet ISP, a leading web traffic analysis product and a web search engine for medical professionals.
