Katherine leads the identification and development of future Trends and their implications relevant to a global society, industry and policy makers. Katherine ensures utilization of the most effective methodologies for Trend synthesis, which is critical to the success of the FPBR strategic marketing consultancy in producing “future-proof” solutions for our clients “Best Futures”. Katherine has also transformed the FPBR Trend Department into a resource available directly to clients for ongoing Trend insights in executive decision-making. At BrainReserve she has worked with: Mattel, McNeil, Microsoft and Tyson.
Katherine’s professional career has spanned innovation leadership and corporate strategy in the mobile, media, internet and software industries. Prior to joining Faith Popcorn’s BrainReserve, Katherine founded and ran Glueh, an Ethnofuturist research and strategy consultancy advising industry executives as a thought-leader in cultural and mobility trends. Previously Katherine led innovation and knowledge management for Telefonica Moviles daughter Quam, headquartered in Munich, Germany. As Director of Knowledge Management (KM) she was responsible for leveraging European market insights to conceptualize future 3G UMTS solutions and strategy. Prior to Quam, Katherine was an independent advisor to the UNESCO to develop their global information and communication strategy, and was Director of Corporate Strategy at Viant Corporation, founding and co-leading the global Wireless Practice and Innovation Center. Katherine began her career at Lotus Development Corporation/IBM as a corporate strategist, eventually leading and evangelizing KM strategy for the IBM KM division globally.
Katherine was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics, at the University of New Hampshire in 1993, and completed some graduate studies in Anthropology.
