Michele Slack





Director, Marketing and Operations, New York Times Digital

Michele is responsible for leading and overseeing the site's marketing, research, ad traffic and customer service operations. Prior to that, she served as director, strategic planning for New York Times Digital. Before joining New York Times Digital, Michele served as the director of online advertising research at Jupiter Research where she oversaw client research relating to areas such as cross media strategies, e-mail marketing and online privacy. From 1997 to 1999, she was a senior consultant for Deloitte and Touche Consulting and from 1993 to 1995, Michele was media planner at Saatchi & Saatchi.

Michele received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1993. She earned an M.B.A. from New York University's Stern School of Business in 1997.
