Doron Wesly
Director of Industry Research, Interactive Advertising Bureau
Doron Wesly currently serves as Director of Industry Research for the Interactive Advertising Bureau, a trade association representing the interests of the leading companies in the interactive space. Working on the well-known Cross Media Optimization Study (XMOS), Doron has raised funds for the next round of research in addition to stewarding projects focusing on the search, classifieds and other vertical markets. Prior to joining IAB, based in New York, Doron was responsible for building Terra Lycos’ first sales market research department, resulting in a threefold increase in sales productivity due to new syndicated research. Doron also worked extensively in Israel including as a consultant for Interevco where he built and trained their first online sales force. He was a founding member of Hotbar.com, heading their marketing department and also held a variety of senior positions for the Applebee’s restaurant chain in sales, marketing and media planning.
Doron received his Bachelors Degree in Hotel Administration from the Middelbare Hotel School in the Netherlands. Doron is a citizen of the Netherlands and Israel, and is fluent in three languages.
