Jean Mahon, director of marketing for Hall Automotive in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is responsible for a $9 million advertising budget which supports 25 franchises within the Hampton Roads area, including the Norfolk DMA -- Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg -- and Northeast North Carolina. She directs all media, website, sales incentives and service advertising for 17 general managers, plus the owner, president, vice president of sales and vice president of service. She also assists business development with training support and materials and works directly with the company’s advertising agency on planning and implementing electronic media plans and programs.

Ms. Mahon has been employed with Hall Automotive since January 1999. Previously, she spent five years with the Virginian Pilot in retail and classified advertising. Her primary accounts included Hall Automotive, Checkered Flag and Charles Barker. Prior to that, Ms. Mahon sold conference room design and planning for Spectrum Data in Atlanta, using a conceptual sales concept. She handled Fortune 50 customers and the federal government and was the top sales person in the company 9 out of 12 months. She also spent 15 years with Copy Data/Ikon Office Equipment selling audio visual equipment.
